Allee Omu is a Saskatchewan-born figurative artist practicing in Vancouver, British Columbia. She received her BFA from the University of Regina in 2014 and has since produced paintings for a number of private collections in
Canada. She also participated in and won Art Battles, has shown in group exhibitions, participated in a collective, and worked on collaborative projects. She utilizes both classical and contemporary art styles in her pieces which focus heavily on social and psychological themes, often centered around the autistic experience and being a woman in the arts. She has a preoccupation with exploring the lines between art high- and low- brow, public and private, street/market and gallery. She also works in digital illustration, sculpture, poetry and other mixed media, striving to combine them all in her practice.
