About Me

I graduated with a BFA in Visual Arts with a focus in oil painting, but like to work in a wide array of mediums. The subjects I've explored most in my work are psychosocial themes, neurodivergence, and nature. Currently I'm interested in exploring the boundaries and overlaps between fine art and "low-brow" art, and the distinctions made between materials used in traditional art forms and newer materials typically used more for various artisanries, "market" or "street" arts or trades. I also strive to represent the strengths of female artists, and wish to keep pushing the dialogue on the difficulties faced by women in creative fields. Elements of my paintings are influenced by modern and contemporary artists such as Gustav Klimt, Miho Hirano, Alpay Efe, Goto Atsuko, Alessandra Maria, Amy Sol, John Wentz, Jeremy Mann and my hometown hero Andrew Salgado.
